Hiking Jump Creek Canyon, Marsing Idaho

Today Kim, Jeff and Candy drove past Marsing and hiked around Jump Creek Canyon.

At Jump Creek, a white stream of water plunges 75 feet into a shallow pool shadowed by brown cliffs. In the spring, the falls are fluffy, like a bride's veil, like today. During the rest of the year, they shrink to a white ribbon. Above the falls, the upper canyon is lined with rock towers and battlements. The trail to the falls winds under and around boulders and beside poison ivy and caves. We are instructed not to climb above the falls as there have been several fatalities. So we took the climb to the upper canyon and had much safer access as well as an incredible clear view. Great swimming hole once the air warms up. Excellent hiking above the falls with a clear view, today, of Bogus Basin!

We didn't go in the pools. It was cold, brother! Probably be great during a scorcher, which we have on occasion. Not sure how to edit your spelling sorry.

Thank you about my hat. Love hats.
